Does NASSP accept Purchase Orders as payment for Conference registration?

NASSP accepts purchase orders for preregistration in order to invoice the school or district. Payment from the purchase order MUST be received in full by the preregistration deadline.
On-site payment must be cash, check, or credit card.

Is it possible to purchase additional event tickets or a Retired/Guest Registration after I have already submitted my materials?

Yes! If the preregistration deadline has not passed and you would like to add an event or retired/guest registration to your current registration, please download the Registration form. When filling it out simply note that you are currently registered and want to make additions.
You may also purchase event tickets and retired/guest registration on-site. Please understand, however, that some events do sell out prior to the Conference.

When will I receive registration materials, like my name badge and tickets?

If you register and pay in full by preregistration deadline, your name badge, any purchased tickets and other materials will be mailed to you approximately two to three weeks prior to the Conference. At the Conference, simply proceed to an Express Check-In counter and present your Conference Bag & Program Ticket to pick up your program book and tote bag. Those who do not receive the pre-mailing will pick up all materials on-site at the Conference.

When is the last day I may cancel my registration?

No cancellations will be made after the cancellation deadline. All registration cancellations must be made in writing, by fax or by mail.

Is special assistance available?

Yes. Please indicate if you require special assistance in the appropriate area of your registration form. NASSP staff will contact you to make any arrangements you may need at the Conference.

Hotels and Transportation

Will I face difficulty in getting housing through the NASSP Housing Block?

NASSP’s housing block is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  To ensure the best chances in receiving your first or second-choice hotel, please submit your housing request as soon as you can.  Typically the housing block is full prior to the deadline.

How do I get from my hotel to the Tampa Convention Center?

All hotels in the NASSP block are within walking distance to the Tampa Convention Center.

What is the distance between the airport and the Conference Center?

Tampa International Airport is served by all major air carriers.  The Airport is a mere 13–15 minutes from the downtown Tampa hotels and resorts. All hotels in the NASSP Housing block and the Tampa Convention Center are just 7 miles from the airport.

What if there aren’t enough handouts at a session I attend?
Speakers are responsible for providing copies of their session handouts and are encouraged to make their handouts available online for attendees to download after the conference. Speakers are also urged to include an e-mail address on their handouts so that attendees can contact them with questions after the conference.

What do I do if a room for a session I want to attend is full?

All sessions fill on a first-come, first-served basis. For your safety, and because of fire regulations, meeting rooms that fill to capacity will be restricted thereafter. Although we have tried to schedule popular topics in rooms large enough to accommodate potential crowding, we cannot always accurately anticipate attendance. There are approximately 10 sessions at any given time during the Conference, it is wise to select an alternative session in advance so that you can quickly move to another session if you are unable to arrive early enough to get seating at your first choice.

Where will 2012 NASSP Conference activities be held?

NASSP Conference activities will take place at the Tampa Convention Center

What is appropriate attire for Conference attendees?

Dress throughout the NASSP Conference is casual for all attendees. Special evening events may require business attire.
