The Common Core State Standards aim to prepare all K-12 students to be career-ready and ready for entry-level, credit-bearing, academic college courses in English, mathematics, the sciences, the social sciences, and the humanities. To this end, it is essential that students are able to apply their knowledge to complex tasks that may have more than one solution. This session will unpack sample formative assessments aligned to Common Core State Standards to help school leaders begin with the end in mind.
